Account Executive - Federal

Job Description

Vasion is seeking a Federal - Account Executive (AE). We are looking for an individual who is seeking an outside sales position that works with assigned Sales Development Representatives (SDR) to develop a prospecting plan in support of our US-Federal patch. This position will report directly to Vasion’s Director of Enterprise Sales on the formulation and execution of that plan. As the SDR team delivers qualified opportunities, the AE is responsible for managing the opportunity and closing the business.   

A typical day might include the following: 

  • Create and implement an area business development plan
  • Actively participate in prospecting activities, train and manage assigned ADMs to create a prospecting plan
  • Attend industry conventions as appropriate to develop new leads
  • Qualify incoming leads and set up demonstration appointments
  • Lead demonstration meetings and opportunity planning
  • Ensure that a proof of concept is scheduled with a supporting System Engineer
  • Follow-up and support potential customers as needed for closure
  • Maintain accurate sales forecast, verbal and written articulation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly pipeline forecast
  • Work with channel partner counterparts to develop new opportunities
  • Quarterback RFI/RFP/RFQ responses with supporting internal organizations
  • Develop contracting strategies with Federal GWACS, BPAs, and other contracting vehicles 

Requirements

  • Proven track record of quota achievement
  • Experience selling software to the federal government
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented entrepreneurial attitude
  • Solid problem-solving and consultative skills
  • Understanding and familiarity with SaaS solutions

It would be great if you have:

  • Strong presentation, communication, organization and time management skills
  • Experience developing and fostering channel partnerships
  • Experience in government contracting, procurement, compliance, and regulations
  • Understanding of Federal IT organizational structure and operations
  • Familiarity with Federal compliance and regulations ie: FITARA, FISMA, fedRAMP, FIPS 140-2/3, NIST 800-171, RMF  
  • Received a Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university
