For one of our clients, we are looking for a Senior Manager, Accounting, remotely from United States.

In this role, you will lead a team responsible for overseeing the company's accounting operations, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and ASC 606, and driving process improvements. You will manage the month-end close process, provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions, and support financial reporting. This role requires someone with strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a high-performing team while also maintaining a keen attention to detail. You will also play a key role in public company readiness, including SOX compliance and supporting audits.

Accountabilities

  • Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP.
  • Oversee technical accounting reviews for new contracts, including application of ASC 606 and other relevant accounting guidance.
  • Provide technical accounting support on complex business transactions, such as debt and equity financing, stock compensation, and acquisitions.
  • Manage internal controls and support SOX-readiness projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support global consolidations and international accounting operations.
  • Mentor and develop team members, ensuring alignment with company goals and fostering professional growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in corporate accounting or public accounting, with a CPA license.
  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and experience with PCAOB and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
  • Proven experience in managing complex accounting issues and preparing technical accounting memos.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience with global consolidations, ERP systems (e.g., Netsuite), and Google Suite is preferred.
