In this role, you will drive the growth and performance of our designated regional market. You will be responsible for cultivating relationships with key clients and stakeholders, driving strategic partnerships, and executing sales strategies to enhance our market presence.

The position will be based in Switzerland (in the Suisse Romande region) and report directly to the Sales Director EMEA+APAC, in Vienna.  

Regional sales responsibility (the “Territory”) will be defined in consideration of the successful candidate’s language and other competencies.  For this position, the Territory is initially defined as:

  • France 
  • Switzerland (Suisse Romande, i.e., francophone regions of Switzerland) 
  • Spain, Portugal and Italy may also be included in the Territory if the candidate has the language skills and experience to be capable to take on that additional territory
  • Optionally or at a later date, francophone countries in Africa and/or French overseas territories may be added to the Territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exceed sales targets 
  • Build brand recognition and sales for the company in the Territory. 
  • Establish a dealer network of qualified value-added resellers (VARs) to sell, install and provide service the company’s products in the Territory. 
  • Find, develop, and execute multi-unit projects with “strategic corporate” or institutional customers in the Territory that will raise the profile of the company and provide marketing and brand-building benefits for the company as well as sales revenue. 
  • Contribute to the sales, marketing and product strategy of the company as a key manager in the company in close communication with the leadership teams in Europe and the company’s global headquarters. 
  • Proactively prospect for new Value-Added Reseller (VAR) partners and direct corporate strategic account opportunities within the Territory. 
  • Secure orders for products, manage customer relationships (VARs and strategic accounts) and establish a deep and ongoing understanding of the customers’ business needs. 
  • Daily use of CRM (Salesforce) to manage the sales pipeline. 
  • Ensure the company’s partners and customers have an exceptional experience with the company’s product throughout the entire product life cycle. 
  • Represent the company in the Territory, pursuing opportunities with government, regulatory, media, and other public venues to build the company’s brand visibility and reputation. 
  • Provide sales and product training to VARs in the Territory, supporting them in their sales presentations, proposals and lead follow-up, helping them close sales and execute projects, developing them to become fully capable independent dealers and service partners. 
  • Build a VAR network that ensures full sales and service coverage of the whole Territory. 

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required (technical field preferred);  a master’s degree is a plus 
  • Previous sales, account management, and/or business development experience is required with a successful track record of at least 5 years 
  • Adept in the use of CRM (we use Salesforce heavily) to manage sales/business 
  • Excellent business sense, problem solving, and analytical skills 
  • Proactive and driven to achieve sustained results 
  • Strategic, thoughtful, and inquisitive 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in the following languages: 
  • French:  mother tongue with native-level fluency, spoken and written 
  • English:  C1 level or higher 
  • Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, German, and Arabic or other languages would be a plus and have a bearing on the Territory defined. 
  • Strong work ethic, high energy, diligent follow-up, focus on results, and impeccable integrity 
  • Ability to develop & deliver compelling, succinct, and high-impact customer presentations. 
  • Highly skilled in use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook), CRM 
  • Primary workplace:  home office with occasional travel (approx. 10-20%)
