Job Description

Founded in 2001, Resident Advisor (RA) is one of the world's longest-running music media brands and a cornerstone of the dance, electronic and DJ ecosystem. The site's audience of over 6 million monthly users is drawn in by a combination of news, editorial, club listings and ticketing, RA-branded events at venues and festivals worldwide, original films and a weekly mix series that has run for 18 years. 

Purpose of the role:

As our Junior Partnerships Manager, you will be at the forefront of RA’s ticketing and media business in Scotland. You will service RA’s existing client base in Scotland, while also spearheading new business opportunities across the region. 

You will work closely with RA’s existing partnerships across promoters, venue owners, and festivals to ensure they are utilising RA to its best ability. You’ll be the go-to expert for small to mid-tier partners, providing tailored support across RA’s cutting-edge suite of products—from ticketing, advertising, media, event services, technology, and content.

You’ll be representing RA in Scotland as part of our UK team helping drive success with partners across the region. With monthly and quarterly revenue targets, you’ll play a pivotal role in securing new business, helping us achieve team goals. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Achieve ticket and media targets by winning new business in Scotland 
  • Directly Account manage small to mid-tier venue, promoter and festivals partners in Scotland 
  • Work directly with the UK Partnerships Lead and Revenue team to establish and execute growth strategies in one of RA’s leading markets
  • Ensure the region’s most important and strategically valuable promoters/venues are utilising and benefiting from RA
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients and partners, delivering industry leading service levels 
  • Pitch the benefits of RA as an events services and marketing channel to promoters, venues, direct clients and agencies

We’re looking for:

  • 1 year account management / sales experience
  • Embedded within the Scotland scene, preferably with an existing network
  • A passion and understanding of electronic music culture is fundamental
  • Ability to win new business, bring on new partners and exceed targets
  • Track record of effective communication, both personal and digital
  • Outgoing personality who can build networks quickly 
  • An understanding of digital advertising would be advantageous
