Beam is the leading micromobility operator in the Asia Pacific region and we are on a mission to turn little drives into better rides and make cities flow better for everyone. 

The company was founded in 2018. In collaboration with cities, we bring a safe, affordable and sustainable new mode of transport to citizens with our fleets of self-driven small electric vehicles. 

We are expanding our operations into the US market.

This role will oversee Operations for Beam's US business - reporting into the group Chief of Staff. Responisibilities will include the following

- Own the PnL performance of multiple Beam US cities (scope of responsibility to grow to 10+ cities)

- Hire, train and manage local city-specific Operations staff accordingly

- Build robust processes and plan/execute business improvement projects to enhance revenue, cost and profitability of cities

- Represent Beam to city stakrholders, ensuring strong compliance with state and city regulations

- Collaborate with the Government Relations and Business Development teams to help win and launch new cities

- Form close collaborative cross-functional relationships with a variety of international teams - including Supply Chain, Hardware, Product and Finance

Requirements

- 7-10 years of working experience in a dynamic startup, corporate or professional services environment in an Operations role

- At least 2 years prior experience working in the micromobiltiy industry specifically

- Track record in owning and driving business functions and/or projects on behalf of senior stakeholders

- Strong leadership and team management skills. Able to manage, mentoring and grow junior colleagues - to achieve high performance within a positive, collaborative work culture

- Structured, target-oriented and data-centric when working on projects and analysis

- Strategic thinker able to look beyond the data and consider the broader business context when making recommendations

- Strong, structured verbal and written communication skills

- Team player with ability to develop deep working relationships with a wide range of different stakeholders
