Job Description

JoVE is the world-leading producer and provider of video solutions with the mission to improve scientific research and education. Millions of scientists, educators and students use JoVE for their research, teaching and learning. Our institutional clients comprise over 1,000 universities, colleges, and biopharma companies, including such leaders as Harvard, MIT, Yale, and Stanford. As a rapidly growing company, with offices in the USA, UK, Australia, and India servicing clients in over 60 countries, we are seeking talented and ambitious individuals to join our company.

The Role

We are building a new Corporate Learning business division to deliver high-quality, video-based microlearning content to enterprises in North America. Our product addresses critical skills such as first-time manager training and communication.

This is a full-cycle sales role for a hunter who will manage the full sales cycle - from prospecting, conducting demos to closing deals. You will build the sales playbook, not just execute someone else's.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting through contract signature, for mid-market accounts in North America.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through daily cold calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and other prospecting activities.
  • Deliver compelling product demos that clearly communicate how our microlearning solutions address workforce development and training needs.
  • Gather and share customer and market insights with Product, Content, and Marketing teams to strengthen our messaging, product offering, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Contribute to the development of the sales playbook, outreach sequences, and messaging by sharing best practices and lessons learned.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of full-cycle B2B sales experience, ideally in SaaS, EdTech, or HR/L&D.
  • Proven success prospecting and closing new business into the US market
  • Native English fluency
  • Strong discovery, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to run a demo and read a room.
  • Hands-on with CRM and sales-engagement tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo).
  • Self-starter mindset — you can operate autonomously, stay organized, and hold yourself accountable to targets.

What Success Looks Like in Year 1

  • You've built a repeatable, self-generated outbound pipeline and consistently hit activity and quota targets.
  • You've closed a foundational set of new mid-market US customers, helping prove out the go-to-market motion for the new division.
  • Your feedback from the field has directly informed our messaging, content, and sales playbook.

Benefits

  • A competitive compensation package including unlimited commissions on your sales
  • You will make a direct impact in accelerating science research and education.
  • Opportunity to work with global teams and in an environment that promotes innovation and collaboration.
  • Our strong promotion from within culture draws a clear path to advance your career with us.
