Job Description

The Development Accounting Manager will be responsible for supporting the PeakMade Construction & Development team and Accounts Payable team. This role will be full-time. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Account for multiple construction projects.
  • Responsibilities include tracking all project costs, communicating with the development and operations team regarding budgeted or upcoming costs, submitting draw requests, managing cash, reviewing contracts/legal documents, and preparing projects financial statements.
  • Track pursuit costs on the corporate side as well as assist with preparing corporate's consolidated financial statements.
  • Review and assist property development accounting associate with construction projects.
  • Implement and document new processes as it relates to the accounting department.
  • Communicate with vendors, project managers, ownership, lenders, and team members.
  • Ensure all payments made are following Certificate of Insurance requirements.
  • Research and respond to inquiries regarding invoices and payments.

Education/Experience and Technical Requirements: 

  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PDF, and Outlook.
  • Experience working in Sage, CMIC, and Netsuite is a plus.
  • Organizational, verbal and written communication skills a must.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to manage stress in a fast-paced environment.
