Senior Analytics Engineer

Job Description

At NIVA Health, we’re looking for an Analytics Engineer who can bridge the gap between business questions and real-world data.

This is not a “maintain dashboards” role. We need someone who can work through messy operational data, ask the right questions, validate the numbers, and build reporting leadership can trust.

What You’ll Do

• Translate business questions into reporting solutions
• Build and own dashboards in Looker Studio
• Work directly with BigQuery datasets and data models
• Validate metrics and troubleshoot inconsistencies
• Partner with Data Engineering and business stakeholders
• Create reporting that drives real operational decisions

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have Skills

• 3+ years in Analytics Engineering, BI, or Data Analytics
• Strong SQL skills
• Hands-on BigQuery experience
• Looker Studio dashboard ownership
• Ability to work with raw or messy data
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of Python or JavaScript

Bonus Points

• Dataform / dbt
• GCP ecosystem experience
• Healthcare or operational reporting exposure

Important

This role is best suited to someone with genuine GCP + BigQuery experience. If your background is mainly Power BI/Tableau without GCP exposure, this likely won’t be the right fit.
