Job Description

Position Summary

The Program Manager will lead and oversee IT and cybersecurity projects, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with the organization's strategic goals. This role requires a professional with strong collaboration skills who can work effectively with cross-functional teams, manage risks, and drive the successful implementation of technology and security programs to protect the organization’s assets and enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have proven experience using JIRA for project tracking, along with familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, NIST) and the ITIL framework for IT service management.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management and Planning

  • Oversee multiple IT and security projects, ensuring successful delivery that aligns with established goals and budgets.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Utilize JIRA to track progress, assign tasks, and manage project dependencies effectively.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with IT, security, and business teams to define project priorities, scope, and requirements.
  • Facilitate regular communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment on deliverables, risks, and milestones.
  • Leverage JIRA dashboards and other tools to provide clear visibility into project status and performance.

IT and Security Program Oversight

  • Assist in the development and enhancement of the IT & Security Program.
  • Support IT infrastructure upgrades and modernization efforts to improve system reliability and performance.
  • Coordinate software renewals and license management to ensure operational continuity.

Reporting and Performance Tracking

  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and measurement frameworks to assess IT and security strengths and weaknesses.
  • Identify and implement new activities to foster a culture of continuous improvement within IT and security, ensuring progress is measurable through defined KPIs.

 

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, SaaS solutions, cybersecurity principles, and related technologies.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, with a strong focus on JIRA.
  • Ability to develop and optimize JIRA workflows to support IT and security policies and procedures.

 

Soft Skills

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven capacity to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with a results-oriented mindset.

 

Experience

  • 4+ years of project/program management experience, preferably in IT and cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Demonstrated expertise in using JIRA for project tracking and reporting.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, NIST) and their application to IT and security projects.
  • Understanding of the ITIL framework and hands-on experience with ITIL processes (e.g., incident, change, and problem management).
  • Proven success in managing complex projects with cross-functional teams.
