Senior Shopify Developer (Part Time)

Remote | Part-time to Full-time | Long-term

KeepCart is a growing Shopify app company looking for a Senior Shopify App Developer to join the team for the long term.

We are looking for someone senior, reliable, communicative, and highly organized, who can take ownership of their work and contribute thoughtfully to a small team.

You’ll work closely with the technical co-founder and the existing development team on feature development, bug fixing, and ongoing product improvements. The environment is collaborative and hands-on, so this role is ideal for someone who enjoys being involved in technical discussions, giving input, and helping shape solutions, not just executing tickets.

The stack is centered around TypeScript, React, Node.js, Gadget.dev, and the Shopify ecosystem. Strong experience building public Shopify apps is essential.

The role will start on a part-time basis, with the intention to ramp up over time into a larger commitment and potentially full-time for the right person.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve public Shopify apps
• Develop new product features end to end
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in the application
• Work across the stack using TypeScript, React, Node.js, and related technologies
• Collaborate directly with the technical co-founder and team on technical decisions and feature discussions
• Manage your own tickets with strong ownership and accountability
• Provide clear updates, raise blockers proactively, and communicate progress consistently
• Help maintain code quality and avoid unnecessary technical debt

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript and React

• Solid experience with Node.js
• Proven experience building public Shopify apps
• Good understanding of the Shopify ecosystem and how Shopify apps work
• Experience with Gadget.dev is highly preferred
• Full-stack mindset, with the ability to work across different parts of the product
• Experience working with APIs, SQL/databases, and web applications
• Strong communication skills in English
• Comfortable working closely with a small team and contributing to discussions, standups, and technical decisions
• Available to work within U.S. business hours / LATAM-friendly time zones
• Looking for a long-term collaboration, not short-term freelance side work
