Job Description

We are seeking a results-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead and expand sales of drive technology solutions, with a primary focus on gears and winches, across North and South America. This is a highly technical, field-based role responsible for managing key customer relationships, driving new business development, and executing strategic sales initiatives within industrial and heavy equipment markets. The ideal candidate combines strong technical aptitude with proven outside sales experience and the ability to conduct both commercial and technical negotiations with procurement and engineering stakeholders.

This position offers remote flexibility for the right candidate, with significant travel required.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and grow sales of gear and winch product lines throughout North and South America

Conduct commercial and technical negotiations directly with customer procurement and engineering teams

Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and market growth targets

Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities, markets, and strategic accounts

Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners

Collaborate with inside sales on operational activities including quotations, order follow-ups, and invoice coordination

Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to refine sales strategies

Prepare accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance analyses

Partner with marketing and product teams to align messaging, positioning, and product offerings

Negotiate contracts, close deals, and manage full sales cycle from prospecting through post-sale follow-up

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and support ongoing account development

Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings

Required Qualifications

3–5+ years of successful outside sales experience, preferably in drive technology, industrial equipment, or related technical products

Demonstrated technical aptitude with the ability to understand and sell complex mechanical or engineered solutions

Proven experience conducting commercial and technical negotiations with procurement and decision-makers

Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills

Structured, self-motivated, and independent working style with a high level of accountability

Customer-focused mindset with professional client engagement

Valid drivers license and clean driving record

Willingness to travel over 50% (extensive U.S. travel with occasional international travel)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field

Experience in technical sales within drive systems, industrial machinery, gears, winches, or power transmission

Experience using Sage or similar ERP/CRM systems

Prior experience working in field-based regional or territory sales roles

Work Environment & Travel

Remote eligible for the right candidate; primarily field-based role

Over 50% travel required, including frequent U.S. travel and occasional international travel

Regular attendance at client sites, trade shows, and industry events
