About the Role

Our client is looking for an Senior iOS QA Engineer to join their core product team. This role goes beyond traditional QA.

You will be responsible for protecting product quality across an iOS application and web dashboard, while actively leveraging AI tools to test faster, think deeper, and surface real-world issues earlier.

This role is ideal for someone who:

• Uses AI daily to accelerate their work
• Thinks in workflows and edge cases, not just test cases
• Takes ownership of quality outcomes, not just tickets

Key Responsibilities

• Execute manual QA testing across iOS applications and web dashboards using a real-user mindset
• Perform regression, workflow, and edge-case testing before every release
• Validate offline behavior, synchronization logic, and data consistency
• Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, etc.) to:
• Generate and refine test cases
• Analyze logs and reproduction steps
• Speed up investigation and validation
• Develop and maintain structured test cases for critical user workflows
• Identify, document, and prioritize bugs with clear reproduction steps and impact assessment
• Track issues using Linear (preferred), Jira, or GitHub Issues
• Validate fixes and releases in staging environments before production
• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to flag risks early
• Contribute to improving QA processes, documentation, and release confidence

Required Experience & Skills (Minimum)

• 1+ year of hands-on experience testing iOS applications
• Strong understanding of regression and edge-case testing
• Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools (Linear, Jira, or GitHub Issues)
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Working knowledge of:
• APIs
• Data synchronization
• Offline behavior
• Cloud-based systems
• Demonstrated comfort using AI tools to assist testing, debugging, or analysis

Ideal Experience & Skills

• Regular use of Apple devices for real-device iOS testing
• Exposure to modern product stacks (Cloudflare Workers, Next.js, real-time systems)
• Experience in fast-moving SaaS or startup environments
• Prior experience collaborating closely with product and engineering teams
• Salary expectations in the $2,500+ range, reflecting seniority and ownership
