QA Analyst - Dawn

Apply Now

Job Description

We are looking for a QA Analyst to join our Mental Health products team. This is not a traditional testing role. We’re looking for someone who is deeply invested in product quality and user experience, and who wants to be involved from the earliest stages of product development, not just during testing. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Clinical, and AI teams to ensure we are building experiences that are not only functional, but truly meaningful for our members.

Our Mental Health team builds products that support people in their daily lives — from AI-guided conversations to clinically-informed interventions. We operate at the intersection of technology, AI, and clinical science, and quality is critical: every interaction can have a real impact on someone’s wellbeing. You will be part of a cross-functional team working across mobile app, backend systems, and AI-driven experiences.

AI Proficiency at Sword Health

AI fluency is a core expectation at Sword Health. Every candidate is assessed against our three-level framework — be ready to share real examples of how AI is already part of how you work.

  • Explorer (Level 1) — Uses AI daily to boost personal productivity

  • Builder (Level 2) — Creates workflows and tools that elevate the whole team

  • Integrator (Level 3) — Embeds AI into products and processes at scale

  • Every hire must demonstrate at least Level 1. The expected level will vary depending on the seniority of the role.

    What you’ll be doing:
  • Be an active participant in the product development lifecycle, ensuring quality from planning to release
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Design to clarify requirements and identify edge cases early
  • Define, create, and execute test cases for mobile (iOS/Android) and backend systems
  • Perform exploratory testing with a strong focus on user experience and product behavior
  • Test and validate API integrations and data flows
  • Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
  • Investigate issues using logs, tools, and internal systems
  • Proactively communicate quality risks, gaps, and improvements
  • Contribute to improving QA processes, documentation, and best practices

  • What you need to have:
  • 1-3 years of experience as a QA Analyst
  • Strong interest in product quality and user experience
  • Ability to think critically about how features work end-to-end, not just at a functional level
  • Experience in test case design, execution, and reporting
  • Good understanding of software development processes
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive mindset and ownership
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional teams
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

  • Nice to have:
  • Experience testing mobile applications
  • Experience with API testing (e.g., Postman)
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, Git, or test management tools
  • Exposure to AI-driven products
  • Basic understanding of test automation
