About the Role:
The Product Design Engineer will work closely with the founder to translate prototype ideas into robust design components and UI patterns. The position oversees command palette user experience, screen flows, accessibility features, and delivers frequent product previews. The role is hybrid with onsite collaboration in San Francisco, focused on fast-paced, iterative shipping of design improvements.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of experience building complex React and TypeScript applications.
- Strong foundation in managing design tokens and component libraries using ShadCN, Tailwind, and related technologies.
- Skill in converting prototypes into reusable components and enforcing design consistency.
- Experience creating functional, clickable prototypes for new workflows.
- Familiarity with UI accessibility, keyboard optimization, and performance best practices.
- Hands-on exposure to Storybook, Playwright, or Cypress for UI testing.
- Portfolio with evidence of keyboard-first workflows and rapid design iteration.
- Nice to have: background in healthcare UX, electronic medical record systems, or experience with SDK tools.
