Accounting Manager (Decagon)

Job Description

🌟 What You’ll Do

As part of our high-performing finance team, you will:
Daily Operations & Month-End Close

• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger transactions.
• Manage the month-end close process with accuracy and timeliness.
• Perform bank reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.

Revenue Accounting

• Manage revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 standards.
• Review customer contracts for proper revenue treatment.
• Monitor deferred revenue schedules to ensure timely recognition.

Systems & Process Improvement

• Contribute to ERP/accounting system implementation projects.
• Identify opportunities for automation to reduce manual work and errors.
• Drive process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.

Reporting & Compliance

• Coordinate with external auditors and be the point of contact during audit cycles.
• Assist in tax filings, statutory requirements, and corporate compliance.
• Ensure financial records meet both local and international standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, at least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in a global or big company
• CPA is required; MBA is a plus; other certifications are welcome
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including US GAAP and IFRS
• Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, internal controls, and audit management
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and communicate results effectively to senior management
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team of accounting professionals
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to work on a night shift or partial night shift depending on the arrangement with client
