We are looking for a Senior Product Manager (Hardware) to help us discover, develop and deliver groundbreaking hardware products that our customers will love. The Senior Product Manager will be a driving force in delivering an unmatched product experience in close collaboration with a global, cross-functional team of world-class experts. This position requires the ability to work from or be able to easily travel to our west coast offices and occasionally travel both domestically and internationally.

What You will do 

  • Take ownership of a new hardware product from discovery to delivery with the goal to maximize company impact and customer satisfaction benefits, requirements, and north star goals to solve big customer pain points.
  • Collaborate closely with a diverse, talented team of designers, engineers, scientists, marketers, and analysts to solve both minor and major challenges.
  • Craft a unique product story rooted in deep customer insights including key.
  • Manage product requirements (PRD) at every stage, regularly assess progress, and facilitate timely decision-making for important trade-offs and risks.
  • Continuously improve our product-making processes by clarifying responsibility and requirements and simplifying solutions for increased efficiency.
  • Work closely with product marketing to craft a compelling narrative that transforms unique technical capabilities into simple, clear, and compelling stories.
  • Contribute your expertise and insights to strategic scenarios and portfolio decisions to exponentially grow our category leadership and extend to new customers.
  • Educate the broader organization on creative, customer-centric product making to enhance everyone's capabilities and effectiveness in pursuit of our vision.

This is a remote US role (West Coast time zone - SF, Seattle preferred). Our main US office is in San Francisco with another office in San Diego. We also have employee hubs in New York City, Boston, Los Angeles, Seattle, and more, giving employees an opportunity to gather informally for occasional local co-working.

Requirements

We would love to have You on our team, if You have: 

  • 5+ years of experience in product management with a proven track record of delivering products with high business impact and outstanding customer satisfaction.
  • Mastered the practice of taking new and/or existing products (not features) from concept to commercial launch with minimal supervision.
  • Passion for using technology to help people live healthier lives.
  • Ability to combine consumer, technology, and business insights into a simple narrative (with data to back it up) that excites both internal and external audiences.
  • Ability to quickly analyze, find the root cause, and come up with creative solutions to challenging problems under pressure and with extreme constraints.
  • Unmatched ability to get things done, move mountains, roll up your sleeves, and unblock tricky situations with empathy, intelligence, and drive.
  • Excellent written and presentation skills that create clear thinking, high-quality discussions, and effective decision-making among large groups.
  • Unrelenting optimism that drives people and projects forward, mixed with genuine kindness, thoughtfulness, and a belief that the glass is always at least half full.
  • A natural tendency to do something as well as it can possibly be done, try new things, and learn quickly from failed experiments.
  • Consumer and/or wearable product expertise is a bonus
  • Experience working with external partners is a bonus
  • Experience with pre-launch user acceptance validation is a bonus

Oura takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. US locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. While most offers will be closer to the starting range, successful candidates' pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

  • Region 1: $167,200 - $190,000
  • Region 2: $158,840 - $180,500
  • Region 3: $150,480 - $171,000
