What is the project?

We at Twine are working with a venture-backed AI lab at the forefront of innovation in the performing arts. We're seeking Junior Product designers working in the physical design industry, such as furniture, electronics and so on to collaborate with us in testing and refining cutting-edge AI models designed for media production, storytelling, and visual development. Your expertise will play a critical role in shaping the future of AI-assisted creativity across film, TV, and animation.

The tasks will involve data entry, creating questions and answering them, relevant to your field of expertise.

Junior Product Designer

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Basic experience in designing physical products, such as furniture, consumer goods, or electronics.
  • Familiarity with blending form, function, and usability into innovative product concepts.
  • Exposure to design processes, from ideation and sketching to prototyping and final production.
  • Understanding of ergonomics, materials, and manufacturing techniques.
  • Passion for creating sustainable and user-centered designs.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Sketching & Visualization: Proficiency in tools like Procreate, Adobe Illustrator, or hand sketching for early-stage concept development.
  • 3D Modeling: Familiarity with software like SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or Rhino for creating precise technical designs.
  • Rendering & Visualization: Basic knowledge of rendering tools like KeyShot or Blender for photorealistic product visualizations.
  • Material & Manufacturing Knowledge: Awareness of materials and production methods, including injection molding, woodworking, and metal fabrication.
  • Prototyping Skills: Experience with physical prototyping techniques, including 3D printing and traditional model-making methods.

Creative Edge:

  • Eagerness to explore unconventional ideas and experiment with aesthetic and functional innovation.
  • Interest in sustainable design and lifecycle thinking, with a focus on using materials creatively and responsibly.
  • Strong motivation to deliver designs that resonate emotionally with users while meeting technical constraints.

Project Scope and Timeline:

The project is already live and we are looking to hire someone ASAP, to complete the work before the Christmas period.

You will be assigned up to 40 hours of work, with the expectation that you complete a minimum of 6 hours a day from the moment you are onboarded.

The rate offered for this role is $1040 as an estimation based on how much you may receive if each task that is assigned is completed. These numbers are not guaranteed but here to provide a guide.

This is a one-off project but there may be similar opportunities in the future should your contribution be required.
