QA Engineer (manual)

Job Description

As a Manual QA Tester you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our software applications. You will be responsible for conducting manual testing, creating test plans, and identifying and reporting defects. This role requires diligence, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with development teams to deliver high-quality software products.

Responsibilities

• Conduct manual testing of web applications to identify defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
• Create and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate software functionality.
• Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to understand project requirements and user stories.
• Perform API testing.
• Perform database testing, including writing and executing basic SQL queries for data validation.
• Maintain and update test documentation as necessary.
• Participate in test strategy development and test environment setup.

Requirements

• Diligence in manual testing with a keen eye for detail;
• Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or Swagger;
• Basic SQL knowledge for database testing, including the ability to write simple SELECT queries;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in english;
• Strong time-management skills to meet project deadlines;
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills;
• Strong listening skills to understand and clarify requirements;
• Ability to create and execute test plans effectively.
