JOB TITLE: Senior Accountant
LOCATION: 100% remote
SCHEDULE: Full-time

JOB OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. Reporting to the Controller, this role will be responsible for preparing U.S. GAAP-compliant financial statements and leading the day-to-day operations of the accounting department. This position will also serve as a key technical accounting resource and work closely with internal cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and external auditors. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

General Accounting & Reporting

  • Manage monthly close activities and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial statements, journal entries, and ad hoc financial reports.
  • Reconcile all Balance Sheet accounts monthly.
  • Accurately record month-end accruals and daily cash reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with the Controller on daily cash management and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory standards.
  • Consolidate and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable

  • Oversee AR, credit management, and collections.
  • Ensure proper accrual and application of vendor rebates.
  • Review invoice coding, generate aging reports, and monitor outstanding balances.
  • Audit employee expense reports for policy compliance.
  • Provide visibility into AR performance and proactively raise issues as needed.

Audit & Tax

  • Support the Controller during annual audits and tax filings.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of state sales tax returns.

Process Improvement & Systems

  • Assist in enhancing accounting processes and implementing system improvements.
  • Design and refine Excel-based templates to streamline workflows and increase efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA is highly preferred.

  • Minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems
  • Experience with NetSuite is highly preferred.
