One of our companies is currently looking for a Client Accounting Manager in United Kingdom.

As a Client Accounting Manager, you will oversee the financial operations for a portfolio of SME clients, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and providing high-level accounting services. Your role will involve managing the preparation and review of statutory accounts, tax filings, and VAT processes, while also mentoring and guiding a team of accountants. You will be instrumental in building and maintaining strong client relationships, offering strategic financial advice, and ensuring smooth financial management for clients in a fast-paced, growing environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Oversee and review the preparation of statutory annual accounts, reconciliations, and external returns for a portfolio of SME clients.
  • Manage client relationships, providing financial insights, advice, and recommendations to help clients meet their business goals.
  • Ensure all financial records, systems, and internal controls are maintained, reviewed, and compliant with regulations.
  • Lead and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance on day-to-day challenges, performance management, and training.
  • Handle complex tax compliance issues, including corporation tax and VAT, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Qualified or partially qualified in AAT, ACA, ICAEW, or ACCA with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting practices, corporation tax, VAT processes, and compliance regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, and Excel.
  • Experience in working with a large portfolio of SME clients and a fast-growing startup environment.
  • Knowledge of payroll and personal tax is advantageous.
