One of our companies is currently looking for a Revenue Accountant in the United States.

This role requires a detail-oriented and technically skilled individual to manage revenue recognition, ensure accurate financial reporting, and collaborate across departments to streamline accounting processes. As a Revenue Accountant, you will focus on data reconciliation, monthly close processes, and implementing scalable accounting practices to support a growing fintech organization. The position also involves preparing documentation for audits and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP.

Accountabilities:

• Ensure accurate revenue recognition in line with U.S. GAAP, particularly ASC 606, and analyze revenue performance across various product lines.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation to facilitate the accurate close of revenue-related accounts.
• Perform data reconciliations between financial systems, payment processors, and relevant platforms to maintain the integrity of revenue data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Treasury, Financial Operations, and Data Analytics, to design and implement scalable accounting processes.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and ensure that all revenue-related data is accurately reflected.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in revenue accounting and financial reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• 4-8 years of experience in accounting, including 2+ years in Big 4 public accounting or a similar firm.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, with specific expertise in ASC 606 and its application in fintech and financial products.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite); experience with financial close tools like Numeric is a plus.
• Solid understanding of fintech products, payment processing, and regulatory environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex accounting issues.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical accounting concepts to non-accounting stakeholders.
