For one of our clients, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer - Automation, remotely from United States.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the automation, scaling, and security of cloud application production environments. Your role will involve collaborating with product development and operations teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of software. You will focus on managing the CI/CD pipeline, monitoring deployed applications, and ensuring production environments are running efficiently. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and technologies to streamline deployment processes and improve overall operational workflows.

Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate on the design, automation, scaling, and securing of production environments, using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Docker/Containers, Kubernetes, Go, and Python.
  • Monitor and maintain production environments using tools like ELK, Loki, Grafana, and Prometheus to ensure performance and availability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, networking, and application issues in production environments, leveraging expertise in Linux operating systems and networking protocols.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices to safeguard production environments.
  • Select and deploy CI/CD tools, ensuring smooth and efficient software deployment processes.
  • Document and record processes and solutions to improve future deployments and team collaboration.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in DevOps or similar roles with proficiency in Linux and Python environments.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and experience with configuration management and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, as well as infrastructure automation tools like Ansible and Terraform.
  • Experience in engineering applications for large-scale, production environments.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills with a strong grasp of networking (Layer 2 and Layer 3) and remote management of production systems.
