For one of our clients, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer, remotely from Canada.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in the automation, integration, and system administration of critical infrastructure. You'll ensure the seamless operation of production systems used by millions of users while developing and maintaining tools and processes that empower the engineering team. This role requires you to apply your skills in scripting, automation, and system management to improve workflows, scalability, and operational efficiency. Collaboration with developers, QA engineers, and senior management will be essential to drive technical excellence and continuous improvement in the organization.
Accountabilities:
- Maintain and optimize CI/CD infrastructure and release automation processes.
- Develop and automate testing environments to support various stages of development.
- Troubleshoot and resolve scalability bottlenecks and production incidents to ensure smooth operation of systems.
- Collaborate with engineers to define system requirements, share knowledge, and provide mentorship.
- Continuously evaluate the infrastructure and suggest improvements for greater efficiency.
- Work with senior management and project stakeholders to align technical strategies with business goals.
Requirements
- Strong computer science fundamentals, with a degree in computer science or equivalent experience in software development.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and AWS in a cloud environment.
- Expertise in shell scripting in a Linux environment.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, C, or C++.
- Ability to develop engineering infrastructure that supports the entire company.
- Strong communication skills to capture requirements, share designs, and provide progress updates.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and supporting their growth.
