Basis: Permanent; full-time, part-time, or flexible
Eligibility: You must be eligible to work in the UK
The role
Our digital products and services are used by millions of people all over the world. As part of our continuing plans to expand our reach and impact, we are looking for a Product Designer to join our team.
We are responsible for delivering digital experiences which have a large audience and measurable positive impact on young people and educators. In this role, you will report to the Head of Product Design and work collaboratively as part of a team of other Product Designers, User Experience Researchers, Content Designers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to create digital products that have a real impact for our users who are engaged with digital making and computing education globally.
You will bring your experience of creating build-ready UI designs which utilise UX best practice to implement new features and improvements across a range of products and platforms.
You will join an agile digital products team that works in Cambridge and remotely around the UK. We use collaboration tools such as monday.com, Figma, and Slack to communicate effectively.

If you’re the right person for the job, we’ll make it work for you, and you can be confident that you’ll be working with an exceptional team.
Responsibilities
Experience and personal attributes
We recognise that everyone has the potential for growth, and we welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate that they have some, but not all, of the experience and personal attributes listed here:
About us
Established in 2008 and first known for our product — the wildly successful Raspberry Pi computer — the Foundation has developed education programmes, learning experiences, and products that are helping millions of young people learn vital new knowledge and skills.
Through Code Club, we support the world’s largest network of free informal computing clubs for young people. Tens of thousands of educators have taken our online courses, and millions of people use our free online learning resources. To deepen our understanding of how young people learn about computing and how to create with digital technologies, we conduct academic research, and we use that knowledge to increase the impact of our work and advance the field of computing education.
Across all of our work, we work hard to engage young people who come from backgrounds that are traditionally underrepresented in the field of computing or who experience educational disadvantage. We work all over the world, with teams based in the UK, Ireland, North America, and India, and partnerships with mission-aligned organisations in over 40 countries. You can learn more about us on our careers page.
We are at the forefront of the global movement to help young people learn about computing and digital making. You can read more about our mission, values, and goals in our Annual Review 2023 and our Strategy 2022–2025.
Benefits
In addition to competitive salaries, we offer a range of benefits for all of our colleagues, including:

Phone screen: Week commencing 31 March 2025
First-round interview: Week commencing 7 April 2025
Second-round interview: Week commencing 14 April 2025
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Further background checks will be made at regular intervals thereafter.

We’ll first organise a 20-minute phone screen in the week of 31 March 2025, followed, if you are successful, by two interviews shortly afterwards. Interviews will be conducted remotely, and we can be flexible with scheduling to accommodate your needs. There won't be any questions designed to trip you up.
We’ll also ask you to complete a short task (with a week’s notice), which you should spend no more than three hours of your time on, and which you'll walk us through during the first interview. This will include the opportunity to share some of your recent work.
We aim for the whole process to be as fair as possible, and we always value your feedback.
