For one of our clients, we are looking for a Cloud Engineer, remotely from the United Kingdom.

As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for managing, securing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure. You will ensure the availability and performance of mission-critical cloud environments, collaborating with development teams to address needs and resolve technical challenges. Your role will involve continuous monitoring, incident resolution, and optimizing cloud service offerings for both cost and performance. Additionally, you will handle cloud security, compliance, and configuration management while keeping the documentation up to date and ensuring the environment remains secure and compliant with industry standards.

Accountabilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day availability, monitoring, maintenance, and incident response for cloud infrastructure.
  • Operate, secure, and manage AWS and Azure cloud environments in line with company security guidelines.
  • Integrate and troubleshoot third-party tools and services used for cloud management and auditing.
  • Create, delete, and manage cloud accounts and root credentials.
  • Continuously evaluate cloud pricing and service offerings for cost optimization and performance improvements.
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify unmet needs and assist with security, SIEM rule development, and configuration issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date process documentation for the entire cloud environment and ensure compliance with security policies.

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience managing large cloud environments, specifically in AWS and Azure.
  • Proficiency in operating, securing, and managing AWS and Azure cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with common compliance standards such as CIS, ISO, GDPR, and FedRAMP.
  • AWS or Azure certifications preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues.
  • Knowledge of cloud security practices and ability to define and enforce policies to ensure security, uptime, and availability.
