Anpo is a newly established 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, having evolved from a successful seven-year initiative under Wend Collective. Founded in 2024, Anpo is at an exciting stage of growth, with three years of secured funding and a vision to build a transformative organization operating as a fully remote team.
Anpo’s vision is a world where Indigenous Peoples, families, and communities are reconnected to our lands, languages, and cultures. Rooted in an ethos of service, Anpo is dedicated to supporting Indigenous leaders, communities, and Tribal Nations in their efforts to foster regeneration, healing, and resilience. Our name, Anpo, meaning "morning dawn" in Lakota, reflects the organization’s mission and spirit. It symbolizes reawakening and renewal, connecting us to our histories, languages, and traditions while reminding us of the boundless possibilities each new day brings.

Position Summary
The Chief of Staff will serve as a thought partner to the CEO, helping them to identify organizational priorities, strategically align their time with those priorities, and anticipate and mitigate challenges.
This role includes managing administrative tasks, such as coordinating meetings, travel, and communications, while also providing strategic oversight on initiatives, and driving improvements to core operational processes. Additionally, the Chief of Staff will oversee preparation and planning for Board meetings and support the CEO in managing interactions with Board members.

Compensation & Benefits
The annual salary range for this position is $95,000-$125,000. Benefits include flexible paid time off, health, dental, and vision insurance, paid parental leave, a 401(k) match, FSA and HSA options, and stipends for home office, phone and internet, professional development, and wellness.
