The Sales Engineer will be responsible for providing deep subject matter expertise on advisory services remotely and in person, scoping and growing the managed services & integrations business, closing incident response engagements, and presenting the advisory services portfolio. This role involves collaboration with Sophos Sales, Sales Engineers, Channel Partners, insurance carriers, brokers, and law firms, with a focus on new logo customers.
What You Will Do:
Serve as a subject matter expert on Sophos services, supporting the sales organization and driving new customer acquisitions.
Provide pre-sales support and scope advisory services engagements through remote and onsite interactions with account teams, partners, and customers, with up to 30% travel.
Demonstrate service value through trials, proof of concepts, demonstrations, and enablement activities for partners, resellers, MSPs, and customers, in person and remote, with up to 30% travel.
Collaborate with Channel and Marketing teams to position advisory services, participate in public relations/marketing events, and lead generation campaigns.
Present current cyber threat landscapes and trends to position services for various security assessments and exercises.
Offer light weekend and holiday availability for on-call rotations supporting Digital Forensics and Incident Response services.
Consult, architect, deploy, configure, and troubleshoot solutions within customer environments, ensuring technical requirements are met.
Conduct research on competitive differentiators and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of the Sophos services portfolio.
What You Will Bring:
Required: Several years of experience in presales support, solutions architecture, consulting, and supporting cybersecurity solutions (e.g., EDR/XDR/DFIR tools, Managed Detection and Response Services).
Desired: Experience in Incident Response (IR) and IR Management.
Desired: Knowledge or expertise in domains such as Digital Forensics, Incident Response, Business Email Compromise, and Compromise Assessment.
Desired: Experience in SecOps, SOC, or as an Analyst.
Desired: Experience working with cyber insurance carriers, brokers, and legal counsels.
Preferred: Experience in Identity Access Management, Multi-Factor Authentication, and deployment of Firewalls, Network Appliances, API Configurations, and SIEM ingestion.
Preferred: Experience in Penetration Testing, Red Teaming, Physical Security, Social Engineering, Insider Threat, Cyber Threat Intelligence, and Threat Hunting.
Strong in-person and virtual communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to apply empathy, build trust, and establish rapport with various stakeholders, including customers, partners, insurance carriers, and legal counsels.
