Job Description

The Data Analyst will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting data related to email marketing campaigns and e-commerce performance. This role requires a strong understanding of key performance metrics, customer behavior, and sales trends to drive data-informed decisions. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in tools like Google Sheets, analytics platforms, and Shopify, with a deep understanding of e-commerce marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze email marketing performance metrics, including open rates, click rates, and conversion rates, to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Use Google Sheets and other analytics tools to track KPIs and present actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Monitor Lifetime-to-date (LTD) metrics, time-to-purchase, and customer behavior within the first 30 days post-purchase to optimize retention strategies.
  • Identify sales trends and customer purchasing patterns to support e-commerce growth.
  • Align email marketing strategies with Shopify store goals and e-commerce marketing plans.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to visualize performance data and trends effectively.
  • Work closely with marketing and product teams to translate insights into data-driven strategies.
  • Provide recommendations for improving customer engagement and lifetime value based on data analysis.
  • Assist in A/B testing efforts for email campaigns and promotional activities.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across reporting tools and platforms.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Marketing Analytics, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, preferably within e-commerce or digital marketing.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets, SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Google Data Studio, Looker, or Tableau).
  • Strong understanding of email marketing analytics and KPIs.
  • Familiarity with Shopify analytics and e-commerce performance tracking.
  • Ability to interpret and present complex data in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with A/B testing methodologies is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms like Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or HubSpot.
  • Understanding of customer segmentation and retention strategies in e-commerce.
  • Background in Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and UTM tracking.
