Who are you?

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Principal UX Designer to lead the strategy, design, and execution of user experiences across our products. 

As a senior design leader, you will be responsible for driving user-centered design processes, establishing and owning  new design best practices, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver intuitive, innovative, and impactful digital experiences.

How you'll make an impact:

Design Execution 

  • Develop and refine wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity visual designs.
  • Conduct and analyze user research, usability testing, and data to inform design decisions.
  • Lead complex design projects from discovery to delivery, ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Design Systems and Practice

  • Contribute to the development and execution of the UX vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business goals and user needs.
  • Champion user-centered design principles and advocate for the user in product decisions.
  • Work with other design team members to create and maintain visual and experiential consistency across products and features.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Partner with product managers, engineers, researchers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of design practices and outputs into day-to-day development processes. 
  • Communicate design rationale and present solutions to various audiences, including internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Facilitate workshops and design sprints to drive alignment, innovation, all while ensuring projects are delivered on time and to a high quality standard.

What performance looks like:

Within your first 3 months you will have fully embedded into a product team and you are leading design initiatives. You are contributing low and high fidelity prototypes, leading user research and testing, and helping to ensure the product vision is delivered. Most importantly, you have a deep understanding of our customers and you are proficient at translating their problems into well-defined solutions. 

Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in UX/UI design, ideally with a background in vertical SaaS.
  • Proven expertise with B2B applications in the service industry and with payment solutions is preferred. 
  • Ability to balance user needs with business objectives and technical constraints.
  • Strong understanding of user research methods, accessibility standards, and responsive design.
  • Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and work management tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with little or no supervision required, while delivering on project commitments.
  • High emotional intelligence (EQ).
