The Role

We are seeking a talented Product Lead Designer for our SaaS Billing and Rev Rec Products. You will get the opportunity to work with a tremendous team of designers and developers utilizing AI at all stages of the process. You will work under the direction of our VP of Product Management and our Head of Design. Your work will empower finance teams to make data-driven decisions and transactions with confidence and ease.

Domain Expertise

Billing

• Demonstrate expertise in SaaS, XaaS, and IoT billing models, with a strong understanding of Recurring, Usage, and Consumption-based billing.
• Possess knowledge of usage processing and its implications on billing accuracy and scalability.
• Collaborate with Sales, Order Management, and Billing Operations teams to discuss approaches, share best practices, and align on process improvements.
• Capable of conducting compelling demos showcasing billing solutions and methodologies tailored to operational needs.

Revenue Recognition

• Exhibit deep understanding of ASC 606 standards and the ability to design accounting and financial workflows that comply with regulatory requirements.
• Possess a working knowledge of accounting principles and their application to revenue recognition processes.
• Experience with integration to financial systems such as QuickBooks Online (QBO), SAP, and NetSuite to ensure seamless workflows and accurate financial reporting.
• Engage effectively with Controllers and Accountants to present demos, discuss approaches, and align on financial strategies.

Responsibilities

Product Design Excellence

• Take full ownership and drive end-to-end design processes, from design research and wireframing to high-fidelity prototypes and final designs, ensuring pixel-perfect designs that are visually compelling and user-centric.
• Present information in ways that are clear, easy to understand, and visually appealing.
• Design intuitive interfaces that align with user needs and business goals, ensuring a premium user experience.

AI-Driven Innovation

• Use AI tools and methodologies to enhance the design process, from concept ideation to final execution.
• Experiment with AI-powered design tools to streamline workflows, generate creative options, and improve efficiency.
• Integrate AI-driven features into designs, ensuring they feel intuitive and user-friendly.

End-to-End Design Process

• Develop creative concepts, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes to bring ideas to life.
• Translate business requirements, technical constraints, and user insights into visually engaging designs.
• Build and maintain a design system, component library, and workflows to ensure design consistency and efficiency.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Work

• Partner with product managers, developers, and other designers to ensure seamless execution of designs.
• Advocate for design best practices and contribute to a cohesive user experience across all touchpoints.
• Actively contribute to brainstorming sessions and provide design direction to elevate team outputs.

Innovation & Trends

• Stay informed about the latest trends in visual design, user interfaces, and motion graphics.
• Introduce innovative visual concepts and push creative boundaries while maintaining usability and accessibility standards.

Process & Documentation

• Document processes, workflows, and design decisions to streamline collaboration and maintain consistency.
• Define and uphold design principles, ensuring scalability and alignment with the brand's vision.

Storytelling & Engagement

• Use visual storytelling to communicate complex concepts effectively through illustrations, infographics, or motion elements.
• Collaborate with content creators to deliver a cohesive narrative across the product.

Requirements

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in Financial UI design, with a portfolio showcasing SaaS or enterprise applications.
• Experience with design systems, responsive design, and accessibility standards.

Skills

• Demonstrable knowledge of financial workflows - especially subscription billing and revenue recognition.
• Strong skills in typography, layout, composition, and color theory.

• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools.
