For one of our clients, we are looking for a Lead Software Engineer (Cloud) 675, remotely from Connecticut and Illinois.

As a Lead Software Engineer specializing in Cloud technologies, you will play a pivotal role in architecting and developing innovative solutions within our Research and Development organization. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the technical direction of new product lines, ensuring they are secure, stable, and compliant with industry standards. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will drive the full product lifecycle—from initial requirements analysis to deployment and ongoing support—while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the design and development of cloud-based solutions, ensuring they meet security, stability, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Managers to understand customer needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Oversee the implementation of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline development processes.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, promoting best practices in software development and cloud technologies.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and quality metrics.
  • Manage the integration of client-side utilities with REST APIs, ensuring seamless functionality.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for software solutions and processes.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of experience as a software engineer, with a focus on cloud technologies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Python, or C++.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices in software development.
  • Experience with RESTful API design and integration.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
