Enterprise and Mid-Market Sales Manager

Job Description

As a Sales Leader of one of Salsify’s Enterprise and Mid-Market Sales teams, you will assume leadership of a growing sales organization, which includes individual contributors to help drive Salsify’s growth. You will be responsible for leading, mentoring and developing your team which includes recruiting, hiring and training new team members on sales processes. Additionally, you will plan and lead at both the strategic and operational level. You will participate in and lead client meetings, including helping to drive strategic expansion within our enterprise customer base, growth within our Mid Market customer base, and contributing to Salsify’s revenue goals.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Lead a team of 6-7 Account Executives, spanning our Mid Market and Enterprise customer segments
  • The Enterprise customer segment includes accounts (customers and prospects) that are in the $500M - $2.5B segment and includes new business logo acquisition as well as existing customer expansion opportunities
  • The Mid Market customer segment includes prospects only and is focused solely on new business logo acquisition for accounts in the $50M - $500M segment
  • Accurately forecasting and managing all aspects of the business, including personnel management, forecasting, customer engagement, the completion of Strategic Account Plans and Territory Plans, managing quarterly business reviews and overall performance management of your team
  • This role also requires close coordination with our internal stakeholders across Customer Success, Marketing, Services, Partners, Product, Retail Network and all other internal teams, including our Executive Leadership team
  • Hold weekly 1:1 meetings and mentoring sessions with team members to develop their sales skills including vertical market management, forecasting accurately to upper management, prospecting within account base, negotiations, & other vital skills; while maintaining individual accountability to goals
  • Assess sales activities & forecasts to determine sales progress & required improvements. Recommend & implement improvements to achieve sales goals
  • Contribute to sophisticated negotiations & the closing of new business and expansion of existing customer, including appropriate use of Salsify Senior Executives to improve results
  • Maintain Salsify's core values by hiring aligned team members & leading by example

You'll Enjoy This Role If You Have:

  • 2+ years of Sales Management experience
  • 3-5 years of previous Sales experience
  • Fast-paced SaaS sales experience required, e-commerce is a plus 
  • Experience building, running and guiding Sales teams towards set goals
  • Strategic problem solver with the ability to execute both short-term and long-term sales plans
  • Proven track record to effectively build, negotiate & close complex agreements with large, enterprise companies.
  • Reliable interpersonal skills and ability to excel in a collaborative atmosphere, working cross functionally across marketing, BDR, support, services, product, CSM and external alliance partners and SI’s.
  • Proven ability to consistently generate revenue & exceed quota by executing processes for identifying, qualifying, & growing our client base.
