Reports to the Operations Director

Job Summary

As part of the Business Operations team, the Senior Operations Manager will support our operations program by identifying and acting on opportunities for improvement; developing and implementing new systems, processes and technologies; and overseeing, planning, managing and executing operations programs to improve our overall ways of working, drive excellence and alignment, and improve efficiency and profitability.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Working with the Business Operations leadership team to identify and develop opportunities for operational change, improvement and best practice, and developing and delivering against a roadmap for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Managing the Operations Managers and Executives that provide administration and support systems that facilitate effective running across the business, including being a central point of contact for immediate and high-risk queries, concerns, or feedback.
  • Overseeing assigned projects, initiatives, processes, policies and systems to improve ways of working, drive excellence and alignment and improve efficiency and profitability, including developing business cases and project plans, working with team leads to obtain approval, providing ongoing status reports, confident decision making and problem resolution and driving projects forward.
  • Ensuring accurate and efficient data and information management on assigned projects and developing and implementing data and information management solutions in line with current technologies and best practice.
  • Maintaining in-depth knowledge of OPEN Health systems, processes, teams and business objectives, and identifying emerging external and internal trends in tools and approaches in order to better align technical and process solutions with OPEN Health business needs.
  • Working with the other central functions to effectively complete the operational onboarding and integration of new acquisitions.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with relevant business stakeholders.
  • Managing Operations Managers and Executives as needed, ensuring that they effectively fulfil their objectives, have clear and motivating development plans in place, provide training and coaching where needed and any performance issues are rapidly addressed.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • Good commercial understanding, ideally gained through relevant experience in OPEN Health or a similar organization.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to confidently and effectively manage stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand complex situations and provide confident recommendations for a positive outcome.
  • Confidence and proactivity, with a desire to exceed expectations.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize; excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Team and people management experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to oversee others' work.
  • Good IT skills, including high level of competence in using the Microsoft 365 suite, and confidence in adopting new software tools and platforms.

Travel Requirements

  • As required by business needs 
  • Occasional travel to OPEN Health office locations
