Enterprise Account Executive

Job Description

The Enterprise Account Executive at Substance is a pivotal role responsible for driving new business and managing relationships with our largest clients. You will leverage your expertise in enterprise sales to develop strong business relationships and create tailored, strategic solutions that meet our clients’ unique needs. This position involves a blend of networking, prospecting, and account management skills, and you’ll work collaboratively with the sales and marketing teams to achieve ambitious revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop new enterprise-level clients through strategic networking and targeted outreach.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within target organizations.
  • Conduct comprehensive needs assessments to understand client goals and challenges, crafting tailored solutions that align with their needs.
  • Present and demonstrate Substance's offerings at high-level meetings, emphasizing value proposition and ROI.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals, ensuring all agreements comply with company policies.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and support, to ensure effective service delivery to clients.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Utilize CRM tools to track sales activities, update client information, and report on performance metrics.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise sales or account management, preferably in a technology or SaaS environment.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and closing complex sales cycles and exceeding sales targets.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to engage C-level executives.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to develop solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information simply.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems for tracking sales activities and managing customer relationships.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, capable of functioning well independently and as part of a dynamic team.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and prospects.
