Program Manager, Research

Job Description

As the first dedicated Program Manager within our Research Partnerships team, you will support and promote our rapidly growing portfolio of grant-funded in-classroom initiatives. Reporting to the VP of Business Operations and Partnerships, this individual will collaborate across departments.

This team member will interface directly with representatives from philanthropic organizations, school districts, and other Kiddom partners across K-12 content, assessment, and professional learning.


Responsibilities
  • Project Management - driving the execution of strategic research projects  with multiple workstreams, systems, interdependencies and resources
  • Relationship Management - acting as one of the primary points of contacts for Kiddom; building and maintaining trust with funders, educators, and research partners
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting - maintaining project documentation, tracking outcomes and reporting progress to stakeholders
  • Risk Management - identifying potential project challenges and proposing practical solutions to mitigate them
  • Process Improvement - developing standard templates and streamlining processes for recurring project management needs to enhance consistency and scalability

  • Who you are
  • You have demonstrated success in cross-functional digital program management, ideally in the K-12 education technology and/or academic research space
  • You’re an excellent oral and written communicator, able to synthesize and present complex ideas simply and communicate with internal and external stakeholders from senior engineers to kindergarten educators
  • You’re a natural relationship builder, able to map organizations and build trust and respect with influential individuals
  • You are a consensus builder; able to exercise soft power to shepherd priorities through functional workstreams
  • You possess exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • You balance an ability to work independently with sound judgment; and know when to to flag and escalate issues
  • You are process-oriented, creating, documenting, and evolving best practices to allow for scaled impact
