Senior Product Manager – Privacy & Data Trust

Job Description

About the role:
As Senior Product Manager for Privacy and Data Trust at Contentsquare, you will own the roadmap and strategy to protect customer data across the CSQ platform and position Contentsquare as a privacy thought leader. You will collaborate with legal, security, and engineering teams to maintain strong privacy standards while adapting to evolving regulations.

In your day to day you will:

  • Partner With Compliance and Legal Teams: Translate policy requirements into scalable product capabilities that meet current and upcoming data protection mandates.
  • Automate Privacy Workflows: Design frameworks and tools for PII detection, classification, and redaction to minimize compliance risks.
  • Lead Privacy-First Product Development: Collaborate with Engineering, Security, and platform teams to embed privacy principles across all workflows.
  • Monitor and Adapt: Track new privacy technologies and legislative changes. Assess “buy vs. build” solutions to enhance data protection.
  • Refine Technical Requirements: Create user stories, requirements documents, and plans that clearly outline privacy needs. Work closely with engineering to enable timely integration.
  • Establish Clear Metrics: Communicate updates to stakeholders and use data to demonstrate how privacy measures reduce risk and deliver tangible benefits.

  • What We're Looking For:
  • Experience: We typically look for 5+ years of product management experience  in an agile, cross-functional product team, ideally guiding B2B or platform-centric products with a focus on data security or privacy
  • Enterprise Impact: Proven experience driving business impact for enterprise customers, supported by a strong track record of customer-facing delivery
  • Data-Driven Approach: Data-informed approach to prioritization, relying on metrics for decision-making and measuring the outcomes of privacy initiatives
  • Technical Expertise: Technical fluency in backend systems and data flows, with the ability to partner with engineering on complex privacy tooling (e.g., understanding databases, cloud infrastructure, data flow diagrams)
  • Privacy & Compliance Knowledge: Privacy & compliance expertise, including familiarity with global regulations like GDPR and CCPA; IAPP certification is a plus
  • Systems Thinking: Systems thinking mindset, simplifying potentially complex data governance workflows into practical, user-centric features
  • Problem-solving: Strategic problem-solving ability, capable of assessing privacy risks from multiple angles and aligning solutions with wider business objectives
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Outstanding cross-functional collaboration, demonstrated by strong partnerships with engineering, legal, security, and business teams
  • Prioritization Skills: Data-driven prioritization, leveraging metrics to define roadmaps, measure privacy ROI, and ensure the highest-value projects are delivered first
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication, adept at explaining technical, legal, and policy concepts to diverse stakeholders, including executive leadership
  • Adaptability: Adaptability and ownership, comfortable navigating ambiguity, removing roadblocks, and evolving product requirements under shifting constraints
  • Customer-Centric Approach: A drive to understand the customer through continuous discovery and user research, ensuring privacy solutions address real-world needs
