Senior Product Designer

Job Description

The Senior Product Designer designs industry-leading user experiences that achieve business objectives and successful customer outcomes. They apply design principles and methodologies to elevate product design, assist in defining best practices for the design discipline and mentoring peers.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with teams to create user-centered product designs, requirements, workflows and strategies
  • Create user experiences and interfaces for product prototypes in keeping with industry standards and best practices
  • Collaborate with UX research, including planning, prioritization, feedback collection and action plan creation
  • Translate user needs and business requirements into compelling experiences
  • Create user journeys, user flows, wireframes and interactive prototypes across multiple devices and interfaces
  • Create low- and high-fidelity prototypes to communicate design intent
  • Recommend metrics to define, manage and measure design success and prioritize enhancements
  • Develop product design best practices and templates
  • Create and present strategies and recommendations to design partners and stakeholders.
  • Use expertise and persuasion to influence the product vision and design
  • Provide mentorship and meaningful feedback to other product designers
  • Measure and explain the value of design to stakeholders

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent expertise in User Experience, Interaction Design, Communication Design, Information Architecture, Psychology, Human Computer-Interaction (HCI), Human Factors or a related field
  • 5 years of experience or equivalent expertise designing solutions for software, web applications or mobile native apps
  • 3 years of experience or equivalent expertise using industry standard design and prototyping tools to create low- and high-fidelity designs and define the work, such as Figma
  • Demonstrated experience influencing, negotiating with and gaining buy-in from stakeholders, including leadership
  • Demonstrated experience applying the design decision making process and incorporating data and key findings into designs
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the iterative design process from end-to-end, including wire-framing, prototyping, user testing and high-fidelity visuals
  • Foundational understanding of common design heuristics and principles
  • Ability to accept feedback gracefully, while also knowing when to push back respectfully
  • Takes ownership of own work, being accountable to deadlines, both those self-imposed and provided by the business.
  • Someone who can deliver impactful presentations and knows how to use storytelling to influence and persuade others

Preferred Qualification:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in User Experience, Interaction Design, Communication Design, Information Architecture, Psychology, Human Computer-Interaction (HCI), Human Factors or a related field
