Job Description
Raindrop is a fast-growing creative and production agency headquartered in San Diego. We are looking for an experienced Senior Art Director to join our creative team. As a Senior Art Director, you will be responsible for leading the visual design and creative direction of integrated marketing campaigns across various platforms. As a member of the creative team, you will collaborate closely with copywriters, designers, and our production team to craft compelling, innovative, and brand-defining advertising content. You will guide the art direction from concept to execution for our video and photo productions to ensure assets are optimized to meet creative excellence and client needs.
This role requires an established senior-level Art Director with exceptional leadership, communication, and conceptual thinking abilities to bring big ideas to life for our clients including:
- Creative Leadership: Lead the visual direction of multiple projects from concept to execution, ensuring all deliverables meet the client’s objectives and brand standards.
- Campaign Development: Collaborate with creative teams to develop innovative and strategic creative concepts for integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, production, TV, and social,
- Brand Stewardship: Ensure that client brand standards are consistently represented across all deliverables, maintaining a high level of design integrity and creative vision.
- Collaboration: Work closely with copywriters, designers, producers, project managers, and other team members to refine concepts, troubleshoot challenges, and elevate the overall creative output.
- Client Interaction: Present and pitch creative concepts to clients, effectively communicating the creative vision and strategy, and managing client feedback to deliver the best possible work.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior creatives and other team members, fostering a collaborative and inspiring creative environment.
- Quality Control: Oversee the direction process, ensuring the highest quality standards across all visual outputs. Review and approve designs, mockups, and final deliverables.
- Trend Awareness: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging design techniques, and digital tools to keep the agency’s creative output innovative and relevant.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a creative agency environment, with at least 2-3 years in a senior art director or lead design role.
- Portfolio: A strong, diverse portfolio showcasing your creative range, including branding, advertising campaigns, digital design, and visual storytelling.
- Software: Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, etc.). Knowledge of set rendering software is a plus.
- Time/Resource Management: the ability to manage multiple projects on time within estimated budgets.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Experience in motion graphics, video direction, or 3D design.
- Basic understanding of cinematography and photography.
- Strong understanding of branding and marketing strategies in both traditional and digital channels
