The Role

We are looking for a relentlessly driven and intellectually curious individual to lead our SRE-DevOps initiatives. Your primary focus will be to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of Navro’s platform while driving automation and innovation.

You will have the opportunity to lead and develop a team, fostering their growth and collaboration, while working closely with cross-functional engineering teams to optimise infrastructure and enhance system resilience.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the SRE-DevOps function, including managing and mentoring.
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, leveraging tools like ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, and Terraform.
  • Define and enforce SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Champion system reliability, availability, and performance through robust observability practices and chaos engineering disciplines.
  • Optimise the deployment of cloud-native, API-first applications using Kubernetes and AWS.
  • Collaborate with teams to implement the 12 Factor App methodology and drive best practices for modern software development.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and psychological safety, enabling your team to thrive in a diverse and inclusive environment.
  • Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and post-mortem processes for incidents.
  • Ensure infrastructure aligns with the AWS framework and supports a multi-cloud strategy.

To be successful in this role, you:

  • Are a current AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification.
  • Are a Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or equivalent certification, or are committed to obtain it during the probationary period (Navro will cover the costs).
  • Have proven expertise in defining and deploying CI/CD pipelines with tools like ArgoCD, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.
  • Have a deep understanding of SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets, and experience guiding teams in their definition and maintenance.
  • Have experience with chaos engineering disciplines to test and improve system resilience.
  • Have familiarity with observability tools like DataDog, Kibana, and monitoring best practices.
  • Have a solid grasp of 12 Factor App methodology and modern cloud-native development practices.
  • Have exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to guide technical discussions and make strategic decisions.
  • Have a proven ability to manage and develop team members while fostering collaboration.
  • Have experience in Payments, FinTech, or similar industries.
