Job Description

Senior Performance Marketing Manager — apply now!
$3,500-$4,500/month | Full-time | Fully Remote | US ET hoursI’m Dan, the founder of Syroscape. I work with established B2B SaaS companies that already have product–market fit and are ready to scale in a calm, systematic way. My focus is on helping founders grow without burning out, by building better systems around marketing, delivery, and operations.

Right now, Syroscape is small, hands-on, and very client-focused. I work closely with founders, stay involved in execution, and care a lot about long-term relationships and retention. This is a great place to work if you like ownership, clear impact, and growing alongside the business as it scales.

Why this role exists

I need someone who can own a set of client accounts end-to-end — strategy, execution, and communication — without splitting those responsibilities across multiple people. Too often, "media buyer" has come to mean someone who only wants to execute and never talk to clients, while "account manager" has come to mean someone who relays updates without understanding the work well enough to explain it. Neither works for us.

This role is both. You'll run your own accounts: build the strategy, execute the campaigns yourself, and be the person on the call explaining results, answering questions, and building the client relationship. You won't be handing off communication to someone else, and you won't be handing off execution to someone else either.

In this role, you will:

📈 Own paid media strategy and execution for a focused set of client accounts (not a large book — quality over volume)

🎯 Manage and optimize campaigns across Google Ads and Bing Ads primarily, with Meta and LinkedIn Ads where relevant

🤝 Lead client communication yourself — regular calls, Slack updates, and reporting, with a real understanding of what's happening in the account so you can explain it clearly

🔍 Develop and adapt strategy based on performance data, market changes, and client goals — this isn't an execution-only role

✍️ Guide ad copy, messaging, and landing page direction for your accounts, working closely with our Creative Strategist

📊 Translate performance data into clear, honest updates clients can act on — including when results aren't where we want them, as long as we're showing a plan

🔁 Act as backup coverage on our largest accounts when needed, working alongside our senior US-based lead so nothing falls through the cracks if someone's out

⚡ Use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, and similar) as a core part of how you work — for campaign builds, research, reporting, and more — to work efficiently without needing a large support team

🧠 Bring your own point of view on strategy — we want someone who proactively flags problems and proposes solutions, not someone who waits to be told what to do

This is a full-time role. Core overlap with US Eastern Time required (approximately 7am–3pm ET), with flexibility for client meetings as needed.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you need:

✅ 5+ years of hands-on paid media, including 2+ years in a multi-client agency environment — you've run 5+ accounts simultaneously and know the context-switching cost

✅ Solid B2B experience — B2B SaaS specifically is ideal, but strong B2B ads experience (longer sales cycles, lead gen, booked meetings) is what matters most

✅ Strong expertise in Google Ads, with Bing Ads experience a real plus

✅ Working knowledge of Meta Ads and/or LinkedIn Ads

✅ Comfort and confidence leading client calls and explaining performance and strategy in your own words — this is not optional

✅ Direct, primary ownership of client communication in a past role — you were the main point of contact, not a support role behind an account manager — and you manage your own task list and priorities without a project manager checking in on you

✅ Ability to own both strategy and execution for your accounts, not just one or the other

✅ Experience managing multiple accounts at once, with a range of budget sizes

✅ Hands-on conversion tracking and attribution implementation — GTM, offline conversion imports, and reconciling platform data against attribution tools (we use Hyros)

✅ Practical, daily use of AI tools to improve your own workflow and output

✅ Excellent written and spoken English

✅ Proven ability to take ownership and work independently without close oversight

Brownie points for:

⭐ Experience managing larger, more complex accounts (six figures/month) in addition to smaller ones

⭐ Experience building AI-powered workflows or automations

⭐ Experience with LinkedIn Ads or other B2B-specific channels

The ideal candidate is proactive, highly accountable, and genuinely cares about results. You don't wait to be told what to do - you identify problems, bring solutions, and follow through. You're equally comfortable discussing strategy with a client and diving into campaign details yourself.

You simplify complexity, communicate clearly, and take ownership of outcomes. Most importantly, you're someone people can rely on to do what you say you'll do.

Within your first 90 days, success looks like:

  • Fully owning your accounts — strategy, execution, and client relationship — with minimal need for Dan's involvement
  • Clients feeling consistently informed and confident in what's happening with their account, even when performance dips
  • Demonstrating sound judgment on when to test, when to scale, and when to flag a problem before it becomes one
  • Working smoothly alongside our senior US-based lead and Creative Strategist as part of a small, high-trust team
