Job Description

We are sharing a specialised full-time contingent engineering opportunity for U.S.-based DevSecOps professionals with experience in AWS infrastructure, Terraform, infrastructure as code, cloud security, secure CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, automation, and HIPAA-regulated production environments.

This role supports current and upcoming healthcare technology infrastructure opportunities focused on securing and operating cloud systems behind software that connects hospitals, clinicians, and patients. Selected professionals will help maintain AWS environments, automate secure delivery workflows, support security scanning and monitoring systems, and contribute DevSecOps expertise across cloud infrastructure, compliance, resilience, and production operations.

Key Responsibilities

Professionals in this role may contribute to:

Cloud Infrastructure & Infrastructure as Code

  • Maintain AWS infrastructure as code using Terraform with modular, reusable patterns across VPC, EC2, ECS, EKS, IAM, S3, and SQS
  • Support HIPAA-regulated production environments with secure, reliable, and scalable cloud infrastructure practices
  • Implement self-scaling and self-healing configurations to improve infrastructure resilience and operational stability
  • Strengthen cloud architecture patterns involving networking, compute, identity, storage, messaging, and containerized services

Security Engineering & Secure Delivery Pipelines

  • Partner with information security teams to run, tune, and integrate security scanning tools into delivery workflows
  • Support security tooling such as Semgrep, Checkov, Lacework, or similar SAST, DAST, CSPM, and infrastructure security platforms
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines with secure automation, policy checks, vulnerability detection, and deployment safeguards
  • Apply cloud security practices involving IAM, VPC design, network security, logging, monitoring, and compliance-aligned controls

Automation, Observability & Production Operations

  • Build automation using Python or Node.js to reduce manual toil and eliminate repetitive operational tasks
  • Monitor infrastructure using Prometheus, Grafana, LGTM stack tooling, or related observability systems
  • Participate in production support workflows, on-call rotations, incident review, and blameless post-mortems
  • Use AI-augmented engineering tools where appropriate to support infrastructure authoring, review, debugging, and documentation

Structured Collaboration & Quality Control

  • Collaborate with senior engineers, security stakeholders, and product engineering teams to improve infrastructure reliability and delivery quality
  • Follow engineering standards, security requirements, operational procedures, and project-specific quality criteria accurately
  • Review infrastructure changes, pipeline updates, automation scripts, and monitoring configurations for quality and maintainability
  • Contribute to secure, observable, and resilient systems supporting healthcare technology workflows

Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:

  • Hands-on AWS experience across VPC, EC2, ECS, IAM, S3, SQS, and related cloud infrastructure services
  • Working knowledge of Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices
  • Proficiency scripting in Python or Node.js
  • Solid understanding of VPC design, network security, cloud access controls, and secure infrastructure patterns
  • Exposure to SAST, DAST, CSPM, security scanning, logging, monitoring, or observability tooling
  • Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines, production infrastructure, incident response workflows, or operational automation
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify security risks, infrastructure gaps, pipeline issues, or reliability concerns
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in an engineering-team environment
  • Current U.S. location with eligible work authorization without sponsorship

Nice to Have

  • HIPAA, SOC2, or PCI-DSS compliance experience
  • Kubernetes or EKS operations experience
  • GitOps awareness with tools such as ArgoCD or Flux
  • AWS certifications
  • CI/CD pipeline experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools
  • Experience in digital health, healthcare technology, regulated data environments, or secure cloud infrastructure for sensitive systems
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar development support tools

Why This Opportunity

  • Apply DevSecOps expertise to secure healthcare technology infrastructure
  • Help operate and strengthen cloud systems supporting hospitals, clinicians, and patients
  • Work with AWS, Terraform, security tooling, monitoring platforms, automation, and CI/CD systems
  • Contribute to resilient, secure, and observable production infrastructure in a regulated environment
  • Full-time W2 contingent structure with competitive compensation

Contract Details
