Magnet AXIOM is our flagship digital forensics platform and one of the most widely relied-on tools in the field, used by investigators across law enforcement, government, and enterprise to acquire and analyze digital evidence from mobile, computer, cloud, and emerging data sources. As Senior Product Manager, Axiom, you will own a core part of that platform and bring the next generation of AI-native capabilities to a product investigators around the world rely on every day.
You will translate deep customer and forensic-domain understanding into a clear product vision and executable plans, partnering closely with Software Engineering, Data Science, UX, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success. This role suits someone who thrives in technically complex, mission-critical environments: large-scale data processing, artifact parsing across operating systems and applications, evolving data sources, and the accuracy and defensibility standards that forensic evidence demands.
You are an AI-native operator and a strong customer advocate who balances technical feasibility, performance, scalability, and time to market, and who is energized by bringing AI into a mature, market-leading product to unlock its next wave of value.
Own the roadmap: Define and drive the product vision, roadmap, and success metrics for your area of Axiom, grounded in customer needs, forensic workflows, and competitive dynamics.
Bring AI into Axiom: Identify, validate, and ship AI-native and agentic capabilities (assisted analysis, search, summarization, categorization, and workflow automation) that make examiners dramatically faster without compromising accuracy or defensibility.
Go deep technically: Partner with engineering and data science on artifact parsing, data ingestion, processing performance, and scale. Reason rigorously about tradeoffs across complexity, performance, cost, and customer value.
Become a domain SME: Develop deep expertise in digital forensic analysis, the data sources Axiom supports (mobile, computer, cloud, and emerging), and how examiners actually work, so you can make confident prioritization calls.
Run continuous discovery: Engage customers and prospects across law enforcement, government, and enterprise through interviews, onsite visits, and workshops. Validate problems before building and keep a living view of unmet needs.
Drive adoption: Own activation, onboarding, and depth of use. Reduce time to insight, expand the breadth of capabilities customers actually use, and turn new features into habitual workflows.
Drive growth: Partner with go-to-market and growth to expand usage, support upgrade and expansion motions, and grow the value Axiom delivers across the install base.
Decide with data: Instrument the product, define the metrics that matter, and run a disciplined experimentation and analytics practice so decisions are grounded in evidence.
Translate outcomes into delivery: Define clear customer and business outcomes and convert them into requirements and software deliverables, driving them to delivery with cross-functional teams.
Support go-to-market: Contribute to positioning, pricing, launch readiness, and sales enablement for your area.
Drive ecosystem value: Ensure Axiom delivers seamless value as part of the broader Magnet platform, including integrations across the portfolio.
Communicate with clarity: Give clear, outcome-focused updates to executives and cross-functional partners and build alignment across teams.
Travel: 15-20%.
Experience: 5+ years in product management with significant ownership of complex, technical products (data-intensive, platform, or systems software preferred).
AI-native operator (required): You use AI as a default part of how you work, not an occasional assist. You are fluent with current AI tools and prompt engineering for research, discovery synthesis, competitive analysis, drafting (PRDs, specs, user stories), data analysis, and rapid prototyping.
Technical depth: Comfortable going deep with engineering on architecture, data processing, performance, and scalability. You can read a system, reason about tradeoffs, and earn the trust of senior engineers. A technical background or hands-on technical experience is strongly preferred.
Discovery and customer empathy: Skilled in continuous discovery and validation, with genuine empathy for users' motivations, challenges, and frustrations, and a track record of advocating for solutions.
Adoption and growth: Demonstrated track record driving product adoption, activation, retention, and expansion.
Data-driven decision making: Fluent with product analytics and experimentation. You instrument what you build and let metrics guide tradeoffs.
Influence and communication: Strong communicator, comfortable presenting to customers, executives, and internal audiences, and able to influence at all levels.
Business acumen: Able to weigh customer impact against long-term business value and make investment tradeoffs accordingly.
Education: Bachelor's degree or college diploma in a technology-related program, or equivalent practical experience.
Prior experience in Digital Forensics, Incident Response, Cybersecurity, or Law Enforcement.
Experience building or shipping AI-native or agentic product capabilities (LLM features, RAG, evaluations, guardrails).
Experience with data-intensive products involving parsing, search, large-scale processing, or analytics.
Comfort building working prototypes or demos with AI app builders and coding copilots.
Familiarity with Agile development and tooling such as Jira, Aha, and Amplitude.
