Reddit Community Manager

Job Description

We're looking for a Reddit Community Manager to own and grow the company's Reddit presence across productivity, work-from-home, ergonomic, home office, and lifestyle communities. You will develop and execute Reddit engagement strategies, create authentic posts and discussions, respond to comments and messages, monitor brand mentions, and report on performance.

This is a full ownership role. You will not be executing a playbook someone else built. You will build the strategy, manage the day-to-day, and drive brand awareness and community growth through genuine participation rather than overt promotion. If you understand Reddit culture deeply, know how to build credibility inside communities without getting flagged as spam, and can work independently without being managed closely, this role is a strong fit.

What You'll Work On

Community Engagement and Strategy

• Develop and execute Reddit engagement strategies across relevant productivity, work-from-home, ergonomic, home office, and lifestyle subreddits
• Create authentic posts, discussions, and comments that build credibility and community trust without relying on overt promotional tactics
• Identify and pursue partnership and AMA opportunities with relevant subreddits and moderators
• Build and maintain relationships with community moderators and key contributors

Content and Conversation Management

• Respond to comments, messages, and brand mentions in a timely and genuine manner
• Develop a consistent posting cadence that drives engagement and grows brand presence organically
• Monitor relevant subreddits for conversations where the brand can add value or participate authentically

Insights, Monitoring, and Reporting

• Monitor brand mentions and track community sentiment across Reddit
• Gather customer insights and surface recurring themes, feedback, and product-related conversations to internal stakeholders
• Track trends across relevant communities and identify new opportunities for engagement
• Report on performance including engagement metrics, traffic contribution, and community growth

What You Bring

• 2 or more years of Reddit community management experience
• Deep understanding of Reddit culture, community norms, moderation practices, and what gets accounts banned
• Strong written English communication skills with the ability to write in an authentic, non-promotional voice
• Familiarity with productivity, home office, ergonomics, furniture, and lifestyle communities on Reddit
• Experience using Reddit analytics and social listening tools
• Ability to work independently, develop content ideas proactively, and manage a posting calendar without close oversight
• Strong judgment around what constitutes genuine participation versus spam across different subreddits

Nice to Have

• Experience growing a brand's Reddit presence from scratch
• Background in e-commerce, furniture, home office products, or lifestyle brands
• Familiarity with tools such as Reddit Ads, Keyhole, Brandwatch, or similar social listening platforms
• Experience running or participating in AMAs
• Prior experience managing multiple subreddit relationships simultaneously
