We are currently seeking a detail-driven Senior Accountant experienced in maintaining the financial lifecycle of specific projects, ensuring accurate budgeting, cost tracking, revenue recognition, client invoicing, and margin analysis.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Project Budget & Cost Tracking 
    • Monitor project budgets and support the reconciliation of actual project costs vs budgeted project costs.
    • Perform the final project closeout once the project is wrapped, identifying any credits due back to no mark-up clients.
    • Own the project budget templates, ensuring their integrity and implementing process improvements as needed.
    • Ensuring initial sold-in budgets are captured in the ERP system
  • Invoicing & Billing
    • Manage client billing processes
    • Partner with Sales and Account teams to facilitate end-to-end vendor onboarding to integrate with new clients
    • Navigate client procurement portals to establish CNC as an approved service provider
    • Ensuring the payment schedule in each SOW aligns with company policy and is executable
    • Handle all milestone billing, change orders, expedite requests, and contract review as needed
    • Prepare accounts receivable reporting for the executive leadership team
    • Perform all client collections, billing inquiries, and follow-ups
  • Financial Reporting
    • Provide spend analysis across all projects by category, vendor, location, etc. 
    • Identifying trends and inefficiencies 
    • Prepare margin analysis on completed projects - evaluating initial project budgets vs actual project performance.
    • Prepare revenue analysis based on project and revenue type (i.e., agency fee vs production cost)
    • All other reporting as necessary
  • Margin Analysis
    • Partner with the new business team to ensure all proposed budgets and client billings align with the company's margin standards for the specific project type 
  • Revenue Recognition
    • Oversee the month-end transition of projects to “Complete” status upon final contract execution and revenue recognition eligibility
  • This role will serve as a liaison between project teams and finance, ensuring accurate financial records are kept for each project. Additionally, this role will provide financial analysis and reporting for all margin inputs (revenue and cost of goods sold).

Requirements

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  •  3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance with an emphasis on budget analysis, client billing, financial reporting, and revenue recognition. 
  • Hands-on experience analyzing accounts, reviewing financial statements, and performance reporting for accuracy
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and communicate effectively across teams
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment; ability to identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency 

The salary range for this role is $115,000.00 to $150,000.00. Where a candidate falls within this band will depend on a combination of factors, including relevant experience, demonstrated performance, specific skills, geographical location, and internal equity. We regularly benchmark roles to market data and ensure pay is aligned with the role’s scope and impact.
