[Job-29213] Senior Data Engineer, Brazil

We are looking for a skilled Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Databricks to join a global data transformation initiative.

In this role, you will support the evolution of an Enterprise Data Foundation, helping stabilize and standardize data ingestion processes while ensuring alignment with global data platform standards and best practices.

You will work closely with cross-functional and international teams, designing scalable ingestion pipelines and contributing to modern data architecture initiatives based on the Medallion Architecture framework.

Your Mission

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data ingestion and integration requirements
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable PySpark and SQL ingestion pipelines
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows aligned with Medallion Architecture standards
• Integrate data from multiple sources into enterprise data lake environments
• Ensure data quality, integrity, reliability, and performance across ingestion processes
• Align local ingestion workflows with global platform standards and governance
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve ingestion pipelines and data workflows
• Document ingestion processes and technical implementations
• Support stakeholders and provide technical guidance when needed
• Stay updated on modern data engineering practices and technologies such as Delta Sharing, Lakeflow Connect, and REST APIs

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role focused on data ingestion and transformation
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and Medallion Architecture
• Strong proficiency in PySpark and SQL
• Experience working with Data Lakes and modern data platform concepts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in global environments
• Advanced English communication skills (written and spoken)
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure is a plus)

Nice to Have

• Databricks and/or cloud certifications
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI
• Knowledge of modern data integration and governance practices
