Kudos Software develops, sells, installs and supports specialist software products for specific market verticals. Our customer base spans Charity Retail, Caravan, and Marine sectors — and we're growing. We build long-term partnerships with our clients, combining deep sector knowledge with a modern, SaaS-first product suite that includes EPOS hardware and integrated card payment services.
This is an exciting time to join Kudos. You'll be selling technology that genuinely makes a difference to mission-driven organisations, with a proven product, a strong reference base, and real room to grow your earnings.
The Role
As Business Development Manager, you'll be the engine of new customer growth across the UK. You'll own the full sales cycle — from generating and qualifying leads through to demonstrations, proposals, and closing deals — selling our SaaS platform, EPOS hardware, card services, and professional services to new B2B customers.
You'll be backed by marketing and lead generation support, an internal CRM, and an experienced office team. In addition to new business, you'll manage a small portfolio of key accounts, keeping you close to the market and building valuable case study relationships.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
• Own the full sales cycle from prospect to close within an agreed UK territory, working to clear revenue targets
• Generate new opportunities through outbound calling, networking, and follow-up of marketing-qualified leads
• Build genuine understanding of each prospect's requirements by engaging multiple stakeholders — not just the gatekeeper
• Deliver compelling on-site and online software demonstrations tailored to each audience
• Prepare accurate, professional proposals and pricing; negotiate confidently to maximise margin
• Hand off signed deals cleanly to the project management team for implementation
Pipeline & CRM Management
• Maintain a well-structured, up-to-date pipeline in the company CRM — opportunities, contacts, meeting notes, and next actions should always reflect reality
• Provide regular, insightful sales forecasts and pipeline reports to the Managing Director
• Feed market intelligence back to the business: what are prospects asking for, what are competitors doing?
Account Management
• Act as the primary contact for a small portfolio of existing accounts
• Conduct regular account review meetings to ensure ongoing satisfaction and uncover upsell opportunities
• Commission earned on account sales as well as new business
Planning & Strategy
• Contribute to annual new business planning and revenue budgeting
• Represent Kudos professionally at all times, in writing and in person
