Job Title: Newspaper Designer

We are a newspaper organization seeking a detail-oriented and creative individual to support our production team. The role involves designing page layouts, editing and formatting text files, organizing paragraphs for readability, and converting data into clean, publication-ready tables. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, excellent language skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Work Schedule: 9 PM to 5 AM EST (Monday - Friday)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and format newspaper pages according to editorial and branding standards
• Edit and proofread text files for grammar, clarity, and consistency
• Structure and organize paragraphs for improved readability and flow
• Convert raw data into well-formatted tables and visual elements
• Collaborate with editors, writers, and production staff to meet publication schedules
• Ensure all content is print-ready and free of formatting errors

Requirements

• Experience in page layout, graphic design, or desktop publishing
• Proficiency in layout/design software (Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop) and Microsoft Word.
• Strong command of grammar, punctuation, and editorial standards
• Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines
• Basic data handling and table formatting skills
• Previous experience in publishing or media is an advantage
