Element develops a sovereign, interoperable and secure communications platform for government, defence and public sector organisations.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a Marketing Manager to join as parental leave cover for 12 months starting in July ideally. This role will report to the VP of Marketing, working in a small, close-knit marketing team, and collaborate closely with Sales, Product, Engineering and external agencies/partners.

The main focuses will be on field marketing, demand generation, content, campaign and events - with a strong emphasis on the German and wider European market.

Responsibilities:

  • Field marketing and campaign execution
    • Own and deliver field marketing activity in DACH that supports pipeline generation and regional awareness
    • Plan and execute integrated campaigns across key channels and audiences
    • Adapt and localise global marketing activity for the German market where needed
    • Work closely with Sales and SDR teams to support pipeline generation, lead handover processes and follow-up activity where required
    • Collaborate closely with Sales on regional priorities, campaign execution and feedback loops from the field
  • Demand generation
    • Develop and execute demand generation initiatives to support lead and pipeline growth
    • Work with partner organisations on joint campaigns, co-marketing activities and other demand generation initiatives
    • Support campaign planning, targeting, messaging and performance tracking
  • Content creation
    • Create and adapt marketing content across a range of formats and channels, including landing pages, website content, product pages, presentations, campaign assets, emails, socials, event materials and sales enablement collateral
    • Support occasional product announcements in collaboration with internal teams
    • Ensure all content is clear, consistent and aligned with broader campaign and brand messaging
  • Paid social and agency management
    • Manage paid social activity, particularly LinkedIn campaigns, in collaboration with an external agency
    • Provide clear briefs, monitor performance and work with the agency to optimise campaigns
    • Use your understanding of paid media to shape campaign direction and ensure delivery against objectives
  • HubSpot and marketing operations
    • Work within HubSpot to support campaign execution, reporting, optimisation and support lead and contact sales activity
    • Manage the relationship with our HubSpot consultancy partner, leveraging their expertise while maintaining ownership of execution and coordination
    • Track and report on campaign performance, engagement and contribution to pipeline
    • Consider/explore use of AI-based systems within marketing operations
  • Events and field activity
    • Plan and execute participation in key industry events, conferences and field marketing activities
    • Coordinate messaging, logistics, materials, and internal alignment for events and sponsorships
    • Support the Matrix Foundation and the annual Matrix Conference, helping drive Element’s visibility, engagement and presence at one of the most important events in our ecosystem

Requirements

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • You have experience in B2B marketing, ideally in a fast-paced technology environment
  • You bring strong experience in field marketing, demand generation, content, or integrated campaign management
  • You are comfortable working with external agencies and partners, and know how to brief, coordinate, and drive execution effectively
  • You have hands-on experience with paid social campaigns, ideally LinkedIn, and understand how to work effectively with agencies
  • You are very comfortable working with HubSpot or similar marketing automation tools including emerging AI
  • You have strong writing and content skills, with a strong eye for clarity, messaging and detail
  • You have experience in open source marketing, or a strong interest in open standards and their role in modern sovereign communications technology
  • You enjoy working in environments where you may need to iterate quickly, often without fully defined briefs, and are comfortable bringing structure and creativity to ambiguous problems
  • You thrive in fast-paced, remote-first scale-up environments and enjoy working across multiple priorities
  • You are fluent in German and English
  • Ideally you’re based in Germany

COMPENSATION

€55,000 - €75,000
