Job Description

Looking for Philippines-based candidates

Job Role: Sales Development Representative

Compensation range: $1,500 - $2,000 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the Australian Western Standard Time or AWST / Perth (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.

Who The Client Is: An established legal firm with a strong focus on supporting individuals through injury-related matters. Backed by an experienced and collaborative team, they combine technical expertise with a client-first approach. Known for their commitment to achieving positive outcomes, they work closely with clients while maintaining a high standard of care and professionalism throughout each case.

Role Overview: Seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join their team as offshore contractors. This is a lead follow-up and new client intake role — the primary function is to contact inbound leads quickly, qualify them, and book appointments with the firm's lawyers.

The firm receives leads across multiple channels including Google, Meta, and referrals. Speed of response is critical — leads need to be contacted the same day they come in, including on weekends. This role is designed to solve that coverage gap.

The right people will be highly phone-confident, energetic, and motivated to promote the firm. There is growth potential within the practice for candidates who demonstrate initiative and additional skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow up inbound leads promptly via phone, text, and other channels
  • Qualify prospective clients and gather initial details
  • Book appointments for lawyers and other team members
  • Attend client meetings with lawyers
  • Assist in preparation of relevant initial emails and contracts
  • Maintain accurate records of lead status and communication history
  • Meet daily and weekly KPIs for outreach activity and conversion
  • Maintain availability during rostered hours, including rotating weekend shifts
  • Assist with basic admin and legal assistant tasks during quieter periods

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent spoken English with a neutral/minimal accent
  • Natural phone manner — confident, warm, and persuasive
  • Sales-oriented mindset with a desire to promote and close
  • Highly organized and able to follow up persistently
  • Reliable, available during rostered hours including rotating weekends
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a sales, SDR, or customer intake role
  • Exposure to legal services, personal injury, or professional services environments
  • Familiarity with CRM tools or practice management software (e.g. ActionStep, NetDocuments or similar)
  • Interest in AI tools and workflow automation — a plus for future growth within the firm

Work Arrangement & Expectations:

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.

To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:

  • Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work
  • Reflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile (clearly marked as “Independent Contractor”)
  • Weekend availability required on a rotating basis. When rostered for a weekend shift, the contractor will have Monday and Tuesday off.
