Onsite WA/ Redmond - Hybrid (mandatory days in office: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday)
12 months - potential extension

The AR/VR division of a prestigious tech company is building the future of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality, aiming for technologies that will be as universal as personal computers are today. Their world-class team of researchers, developers, and engineers is set to redefine how we work, play, and connect. The Audio team focuses on developing breakthrough audio technologies for AI glasses and head-mounted displays to enable effortless communication and augment human capabilities, even in challenging acoustic environments.

We are looking for a highly motivated, full-time, on-site Project Manager to join the team. This contract role requires a collaborative yet independent individual to drive the delivery of ambitious audio features. You will be responsible for planning, logistics, collaboration, and communication across multiple projects, working closely with experts in audio engineering, signal processing, machine learning, and hearing sciences. Familiarity with these technical domains is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the planning, execution, and delivery lifecycle for feature development and productization.
  • Monitor project progress, proactively identify risks, and implement effective solutions to keep projects on schedule.
  • Clearly communicate project status, dependencies, and risks to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate regular feature evaluation sessions with the team to gather feedback and promote feature familiarity.
  • Ensure tasks and projects are properly completed and progress is thoroughly documented.
  • Oversee vendor services and equipment procurement, and support other operational projects as needed.
  • Maintain an on-site presence five days a week at the Redmond facilities.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of project management experience within research or product development settings.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, demonstrating proactive initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective at building strong partnerships and collaborating across functions with team members and stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • PMP or a similar professional certification, or equivalent experience.
